Although the color has turned reddish, this classic science fiction film based on the novel by H.G. Wells remains extremely enjoyable. Classic fairy tale elements and a clever reworking of the King Kong theme along with the special effects of Willis O'Brien and Ray Harryhausen make this one a winner.
